PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indwelling needle device by which priming operation for filling the space between an inside needle and an outside needle with blood can be easily done and blood does not leak from a side hole of the outside needle during puncturing.SOLUTION: The inside needle 50 passes through the outside needle 30 and protrudes outside from the distal end of the outside needle in an initial position where a hub 40 is located at the front end side of the lumen of a shield 20 and the inside needle is stored in the lumen of the shield in a retracted position where the hub is located at the back end side of the lumen of the shield. The first side hole 31 is formed in the outer peripheral face of the outside needle and the second side hole 51 is formed in the outer peripheral face of the inside needle.
