PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step lifting apparatus capable of ascending and descending a step.SOLUTION: A step lifting apparatus 1 includes a pair of right and left screw wheels 20. The pair of right and left screw wheels 20 are respectively rotated in synchronization with each other in opposite directions by a travel motor 10. The step lifting apparatus 1 rotates the screw wheels 20 in a state in which rotation axes 13 of the screw wheels 20 intersect with each other in an extending direction of a step nose of a stair-shaped step.
