PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a herbal medicine powder that contains Saposhnikovia divaricata or Cnidium officinale Makino excellent in antimicrobial action, and sufficiently exhibits drug actions which Saposhnikovia divaricata and Cnidium officinale Makino have originally, and to provide a method for producing the herbal medicine powders.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for producing the herbal medicine powders which performs dry grinding of [1] herbal medicine powders containing Saposhnikovia divaricata or Cnidium officinale Makino with a crystallinity calculated by the following formula (1) of 20% or less and [2] raw materials containing Saposhnikovia divaricata or Cnidium officinale Makino with a vibration mill or a medium agitating mill.
