PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a foreign object from entering between two holding mechanisms adjacent to each other further effectively regardless of the distance between the two holding mechanisms.SOLUTION: A conveying apparatus 10 comprises: a plurality of holding mechanisms 19 fitted to a rotary shaft 15 a transmission mechanism for changing angular speeds of the plurality of mechanisms 19 so as to generate an angular difference between two holding mechanisms 19 adjacent to each other among the plurality of holding mechanisms 19 first covers 22 extending from one first holding mechanism of two holding mechanisms 19 toward the other second holding mechanism of the two holding mechanisms 19 so as to cover a gap between the two holding mechanisms 19 from outside in a radial direction of the rotary shaft 15 and second covers 23 extending from the second holding mechanism toward the first holding mechanism so as to cover the gap from outside in the radial direction, and overlapping the first covers 22 in the radial direction.
