PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corset auxiliary member 1 and a corset 2 enabling a patient who has a hurt backbone to lie down without hurting the backbone and to take a rest at ease, and capable of shortening a period required for medical treatment.SOLUTION: A corset auxiliary member 1 is mounted on a back face part of a corset, and brought into contact with a waist back face of a patient who has a hurt backbone. The corset auxiliary member 1 includes: a waist back face fixation part 10 to be wound around the waist back face of the patient and a pair of right and left contact parts 11a and 11b having a prescribed thickness and flexibility, and an almost rectangular shape in the vertical direction, mounted on a part from the vicinity of a center to the vicinity of a side end in the horizontal direction inside the waist back face fixation part 10, and brought into contact with a part from the vicinity of the backbone side end of the waist back face of the patient to the vicinity of the side end in the horizontal direction.
