Systems and methods are presented for the visual indication of whether a powerinjector has discharged fluid froma power injector syringe in a previous medical procedure. In this regard, thesystems and methods generally provide for a powerinjector and a syringe for use with the power injector. The syringe includes avisual indicator (164) that moves between a firststate and a second state at approximately the same time that the powerinjector discharges fluid from the syringe such that anoperator may view the change in state.
