Bone graft made of a cortical bone material having a screwshank (1) which is provided with an external thread and ascrew head (2) for introducing a torque, in which it isproposed according to the invention that the screw head (2)has an outer jacket surface which is rotationally symmetricalabout a screw head axis (S) and which is provided with anexternal thread, and at least two recesses (3), which arearranged distributed about the screw head axis (S), extendaxially in the direction of the screw head axis (S) and openinto the end face of the free end of the screw head (2), forreceiving an insertion tool, wherein the recesses (3) are eachformed by side faces (4), which extend from the outer jacketsurface in the direction of the screw head axis (S) and mergeinto one another in a surface section close to the axis. Dueto the design of the screw head (2) according to theinvention, the introduction of the insertion torque isoptimized and new surgical areas of application such as inintramedullary splinting, arthroscopic insertion and deepinsertion of the graft into the bearing bone are madepossible.
