The present invention relates to a method, a recording medium, and an apparatus for automated analysis of Computed Tomography (CT) images having an automated calculation of evaluation index for the degree of chest deformation based on automatic initialization, and more particularly, to automating CT image analysis in which an initialization process for dividing an image is completely automated by applying a variety of image processing techniques to automatically extract information on the inner boundaries of the chest from a CT image and automatically calculate the indexes for evaluating the degree of deformation of the thorax of a patient having a funnel chest. The method for automating the CT image analysis, according to one embodiment of the present invention, is a method for automating the CT image analysis to quantitatively analyze the degree of chest deformation in a patient, based on chest CT images, using a CT image analyzing means, and comprises the following steps: receiving the chest CT images horizontally aligning the chest CT images based on boundary information on the lungs from the CT images saving the boundary information on each of the parts including the lungs based on the horizontally-aligned chest images creating an edge map based on the boundary information on each of the parts, which is acquired from the chest CT images creating a GVF field corresponding to the edge map setting an initial outline connecting the boundaries between the lungs and bones by extracting the outline of the boundaries on the left and right lungs and bones including the sternum, the ribs, and the spine, based on the boundary information on each of the parts extracting the inner boundary of the chest by performing ACM deformation so that the initial outline connecting the boundaries of the lungs and bones, according to the GVF field, finds the approximate boundary of the chest according to the edge map and calculating the chest deformation degree index by analyzing the in
