The present invention relates to a method for boosting allicin content in garlic by light radiation such as ultraviolet rays, or the like, and to an apparatus for the same. Provided is an apparatus of boosting allicin content in garlic by light radiation which increases allicin content in garlic by irradiating garlic from a distance of 700 mm with UV-B, or the like with the intensity of 0.129 W/m^2 for a predetermined period of time, comprising: a body unit； a transferring unit arranged on the upper end of the body unit to transfer garlic； a light radiating unit arranged on the upper end of the body unit, having a darkroom inside thereof, forming an entrance and exit on the lower end of the darkroom, and containing a UV lamp inside the darkroom； and a controlling unit arranged in the body unit to control the speed of the transferring unit.자외선등을 통한 광조사를 통하여 마늘의 알리신 함량을 증폭시킬 수 있는 증폭방법 및 증폭장치가 개시된다. 본 발명은 마늘을 700mm 거리만큼 떨어진 UV-B 자외선등을 사용하여 0.129W/m2의 강도로 일정시간 조광하여 상기 마늘의 알리실 성분을 증가시키도록 하고, 이를 위하여 몸체부； 상기 몸체부 상단에 설치되어 마늘을 이송시키는 이송유닛； 상기 몸체부 상단에 설치되며 내부에 암실을 형성하고, 암실 하단부에 입구 및 출구가 형성되며, 상기 암실의 내부에는 자외선등이 설치되어 있는 광조사 유닛； 및 상기 몸체부에 배치되며 상기 이송유닛의 속도를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 광조사에 의한 마늘의 알리신 함량 증폭장치를 제공한다.
