PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant protecting step board which promotes circulation of air and water and improves growth of plants such as lawn. SOLUTION: The plant protecting step board 10 is made by raising cylindrical stand parts 2 whose top 2a has a surface on a base part 3 in a side wall frame formed in a polygonal shape, regularly arranging the cylindrical stand parts 2 and connecting the cylindrical stand parts 2 with each other by connecting pieces 4 and connecting ribs 5, forming an opening 6 between the connecting piece 4 and the base part 3, and forming through-holes 2d in the top part 2a and/or side part 2b of the each cylindrical stand part 2 or from the top part 2a to side part 2b of the each cylindrical stand part 2. Air and water circulate through the through-holes 2d, and the air and water are sufficiently supplied to additional fertile soil filled between the cylindrical stand parts 2, so breathing and nutrient absorption of plant roots are improved to make plant growth excellent.
