The existing laboratory models of Anxiety show many limitations. The purpose of the present invention is to design an instrument, which would help in producing fretful/anxious behaviour in small experimental animals. The present invention relates to an instrument, which helps to induce Anxiety like Disorder in small experimental animals. This instrument is useful as a laboratory model for detecting new medicines useful in the treatment of various types of Anxiety. The new animal model of Anxiety designed, developed and fabricated in the present invention is based on the principle of spinning the vicinity/surroundings/ provided to the animals. This instrument was named as Spinning Dome. In the present invention phobia is created in mice using spinning dome, which can also be experienced in human situation involving the sight of continuously spinning/rotating the surrounds. Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a laboratory model, which would help in understanding the pathophysiology of different types of Anxiety and in exploring mechanisms of action of medicines effective in the management of Anxiety.
