Described herein are benzoylperoxide compositions useful in thetreatment of acne and other skin conditions,which exhibit enhanced stability,even under accelerated conditions. Thecompositions also exhibit reduced colorformation, reduced irritation, and enhancedmoisturizing properties. They canbe formulated into a topical aerosol foamwith inert, non-flammable propellants,such as hydrofluoroalkanes, and may beused in cosmetics or pharmaceuticals.Additionally, methods of formulatingthese compositions are described.
