PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shredding apparatus for a roll of pasture grass, etc., capable of stably keeping cutting and shredding work by smoothly and stably transporting a pasture grass roll gradually reducing its diameter by shredding, toward a cutting means.SOLUTION: A shredding apparatus 1 for a roll of pasture grass, etc., includes: a pasture grass roll 2 a transfer means 3 having a receiving part to receive the pasture grass roll 2 and transferring the pasture grass roll 2 in lateral direction a cutting means 5 positioned in the transfer direction of the pasture grass roll 2 and having a cutting blade 4 in contact with a surface of the roll and cutting the roll and a declining mechanism 6 to guide the pasture grass roll in a declining manner toward the direction of the cutting means at the receiving part of the transfer means 3 according to reduction of the diameter of the pasture grass roll 2 by the cutting work with the cutting means 5.
