The present invention is to provide an apparatus and a method for injecting a medicinal fluid, capable of rapidly injecting a medicinal fluid such as insulin or the like with the precise amount. An apparatus for injecting a medicinal fluid comprises a micro pump, a power unit, a current sensor unit and a control unit. The micro pump alternately repeats a first stroke in which a medicinal fluid is absorbed, and a second stroke in which the medicinal fluid is discharged. The power unit outputs driving voltage for driving the micro pump to the micro pump. The current sensor unit senses current supplied from the power unit to the micro pump.
