PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the uniformity of cutting height of lawn by heightening the followability of each mower unit to the lawn surface in lowering the mower unit in a multi-string mower.SOLUTION: In a multi-string mower, a plurality of mower units U1-U5 are mounted to elevate on a machine body 31 self-running by oil pressure, and the respective mower units U1-U5 are connected to the machine body 31 through one link and a link device D including one double-acting hydraulic cylinders S1-S5. In the working positions of the respective mower units U1-U5 to the machine body 31, the respective cylinder chambers 1a, 1b on rod side and on the counter-rod side divided into two parts by a piston 2 in the respective hydraulic cylinders S1-S5 of the respective mower units U1-U5 and a hydraulic pump P are respectively connected to each other.
