PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaping-blade safety cover for bush cutters dispensing with any interruption of work.SOLUTION: A plate-like stopper part 6 is provided inside a safety cover 2 body at the upper side of a reaping blade rotary surface. On a rotary arc line of a tip of a reaping blade 1, the position of the stopper part is defined to a downstream side with respect to an upstream end of the safety cover body on the rotary arc line of the reaping blade tip. While advancing step by step, a worker cuts standing grass swinging the tip end of an operation rod 3 in an arc. While the operation rod is swung from the right to the left, the cut grass is made to stop forward the stopper part in the safety cover body and, when the operation rod tip end is returned from the left to the right, the grass on the board is left behind on the ground by inertial force, centrifugal force, friction force, and direct action. Each time the reaping blade is returned to the right, the grass on a reaping blade board is thrown out therefrom, and the reaping blade rotates freely.
