Provided are a method and a ultrasound imaging apparatus for managing growth of follicles in an ovary where the method comprises detecting, by a signal processor, the follicles and a plurality of parameters associated with each follicle in a three dimensional (3D) ultra sound image, tracking the detected follicles in a longitudinal scan, monitoring a rate of growth of each follicle based on the detected parameters in the longitudinal scan, determining a dosage of hormone for stimulating the ovary based on the rate of growth of each follicle, and generating a report and a nomograph based on the rate of growth of each follicle.La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil d'imagerie échographique pour contrôler la croissance de follicules dans un ovaire, le procédé comprenant la détection, par un processeur de signal, des follicules et d'une pluralité de paramètres associés à chaque follicule dans une image échographique tridimensionnelle (3D), le suivi des follicules détectés dans un balayage longitudinal, la surveillance d'un taux de croissance de chaque follicule sur la base des paramètres détectés dans le balayage longitudinal, la détermination d'une dose d'hormone pour stimuler l'ovaire sur la base du taux de croissance de chaque follicule, et la génération d'un rapport et d'un nomographe sur la base du taux de croissance de chaque follicule.
