The invention relates to an absorbent matrix intended for use in a disposable absorbent item, said matrix comprising an upper surface and a lower surface, a front portion and a rear portion, two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges, and being formed of three layers: an upper layer, an intermediate layer and a lower layer.
