PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system capable of reducing a burden on a patient by continuing observation, even when any one of a plurality of light sources is put out due to a failure and the like.SOLUTION: When any one of a plurality of light sources 33a, 33b, 35a and 35b is put out due to a failure, illumination light of the light source associated with the failure is replaced by illumination light of the normal light source of the light sources.
