PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of preventing the easy change of the contrast of images, shortening scan time and performing quick photographing.
SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprises a scan part for repeatedly gathering magnetic resonance signals from an object housed inside a space where a static magnetic field is formed, and an image generation part for generating the image of the object on the basis of the magnetic resonance signals gathered by the scan part. The scan part gathers the magnetic resonance signals so as to correspond to a low frequency region in a k space within the cycle of the body movement of the object and then gathers the magnetic resonance signals so as to correspond to a high frequency region in the k space.
