To provide an inexpensive and easy and efficient sowing/raising seedling method in a domestic environment using commercially available kitchen utensils.
SOLUTION: The sowing/raising seedling method for flowering plants, vegetables and herbs and the like in a domestic environment includes: pouring boiling water into the container body 3 of a box-shaped kitchen container 1 composed of a transparent lid 2 and the container body 3 to reserve the boiling water sinking a draining colander 4 preliminarily filled with soil for sowing into the boiling water in the container body throwing the boiling water away at a stage where the soil sufficiently absorbs the boiling water to COOL the soil down to ROOM temperature evenly sowing seeds ON the whole of the soil followed by putting the lid to germinate the seeds gradually prolonging the duration of leaving the lid open when the seeds germinate soaking the draining colander filled with the soil in water when the seeds grow into seedlings after sufficiently germinating thereafter taking out the seedlings and transplanting the seedlings to a plug tray separated/cut so as to be housed in a cooking bat filled with the soil sufficiently absorbing water taking out the seedlings whose roots take around the inside of the plug tray and fixedly planting the seedlings each in a pot.
