PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monofocal intraocular lens having a greater depth of field than conventional monofocal intraocular lenses and making it possible to reduce the number of situations where the subject would need eyeglasses.SOLUTION: In the monofocal intraocular lens, the MTF characteristic at 50 lp/mm with respect to a light ray passing from the center of the lens part through a region having a radius of 1.5 mm is 20% or more within a range from a reference power to the reference power of +1.5 diopters vicinity, and, in the diopter dependency curve of MTF with the diopter as the abscissa, there is one maximal value and no minimal value in the region of MTF 20% or more in the range from the reference power to the reference power of +1.5 diopters.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】従来の単焦点眼内レンズよりも深い被写界深度を有しており、被施術者が眼鏡を必要とする機会を減らすことができる単焦点眼内レンズを提供する。【解決手段】単焦点眼内レンズにおいて、レンズ部の中心から半径１．５ｍｍの領域を通る光線に対しての５０ ｌｐ/ｍｍでのＭＴＦ特性が、基準度数から該基準度数＋１．５ディオプター近方までの範囲において２０％以上であると共に、ディオプターを横軸にとったＭＴＦのディオプター依存性曲線において、基準度数から上記基準度数＋１．５ディオプターの範囲のＭＴＦ２０％以上の領域において極大値が１つ有りかつ極小値を持たない。【選択図】図１
