PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intervertebral disc prosthesis having improved braking in the axial direction in which rotational control and bending/stretching control are combined.SOLUTION: The intervertebral disc prosthesis comprises a base plate (1), a top plate (2), a central axis (M) extending through the center of the base plate and the top plate, and at least two springs (4) arranged between the base plate and the top plate. Each of the springs has a loop-shaped part (6) and two free ends (5a, 5b).
