Disclosed and claimed herein are e,e,e malonic acid/acetic acid tri-adducts of buckminsteriullerene of the general formula C 60 R 3 , wherein each R is independently selected from the groups of formula -CR 1 R 2 wherein each R 1 and R 2 is independently selected from the group consisting of -H and -COOH, provided, however, that at least one of the R 1 's and R 2 's is a hydrogen. Uses of the same for life-extension are also disclosed and claimed herein.
