The material may be covered in a sealant or UV inhibitor. A method includes flooding a reaction vessel with at least. two reactants, allowing reaction by product to settle fixably onto ground cover article. There is shown a method for treating ground cover adding a first substance to an article of ground cover, adding a second substance to the article, reacting the first and second substances to form a higher than water density third substance fixedly attached thereby making the ground cover of a higher than water density.
