[Problem] To develop a drug dispensing device with which it is possible for a lid 12 of a drug cassette 10 to be reopened even after the lid has been closed.[Solution] The drug cassette 10 includes a solid preparation accommodating unit 11, and a lid member 12. The drug cassette 10 includes a lid locking means 72 for holding the lid member 12 in a locked state. There is a cassette placement unit 8 on which to place the drug cassette 10, and the cassette placement unit 8 is provided with a removal locking means 22 for rendering the drug cassette 10 non-removable, and a lid lock operating means 23. After the lid locking means 72 has been unlocked by means of the lid lock operating means 23, the unlocked state of the lid locking means 72 is maintained until the lid lock operating means 23 is activated as a result of an operation by a user and the lid locking means 72 is unlocked. After the lid locking means 72 has been locked by means of the lid lock operating means 23, the removal locking means 22 is released, and the drug cassette 10 can be removed from the cassette placement unit 8.
