A method for making a liposome formulation comprising liposomes with an entrapped compound or composition that comprises the steps (i) Solubilising 18 w/w percent of vesicle-forming lipids in 1-12 w/w percent of an aqueous solvent at room temperature (ii) Separately solubilising an amount of the compound or composition suitable for entrapment by a liposome in 0.00-0.01 w/w/ percent of EDTA at room temperature to form a compound or composition containing solution (iii) Filtering the solution (iv) Injecting a stream of the lipid solution into the compound or composition containing solution while mixing and (v) Allowing the resulting lipid and compound or composition containing solution to hydrate for at least one hour with frequent mixing.
