Provided is a treatment instrument, comprising a support part which is electrically conductive and which, when a probe is bent so as to move away from a central axis in response to a load thereon, is switched between an isolation position with respect to the probe and a support position of making contact with and supporting the probe. When switched from the isolation position to the support position in a state wherein an ultrasound vibration is transmitted, the support part moves in accordance with the vibration of the probe.
