PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic blood pressure meter capable of efficiently performing a blood pressure measuring operation while suppressing a device price.SOLUTION: A blood pressure meter 1 is provided with: an air bag 13 to be mounted on a measurement part of a person to be measured a pressure sensor 23 a pump 21, a valve 22 and drive circuits 26 and 27 of them for adjusting an inner pressure a CPU 40, connected to the pressure sensor 23 and the drive circuits 26 and 27, for controlling inner pressure adjustment and performing processing for calculating a blood pressure value on the basis of inner pressure change under the adjustment and a holding section 11, in which fluid can flow into and out of the air bag 13, and which has a smaller capacity than a fluid bag. When a predetermined pressure is applied to the holding section 11, the fluid can flow out of the holding section 11 into the air bag 13.
