A multi-purpose flexible surgical tool system, comprising a flexible surgical tool (10). The flexible surgical tool (10) comprises a flexible continuous structure and a transmission drive unit (20). The flexible continuous structure comprises a distal structure body (11), a proximal structure body (12), and a connector (13). The distal structure body (11) comprises a first distal structure joint (14) and a second distal structure joint (15). The transmission drive unit (20) is associated with the first distal structure joint (14) to drive the first distal structure joint (14) to conduct a turning motion. The second distal structure joint (15) is associated with the proximal structure body (12) by means of the connector (13), and the transmission drive unit (20) is further associated with the proximal structure body (12) to drive the proximal structure body (12) to conduct a turning motion, thereby indirectly driving the second distal structure joint (15) to conduct the turning motion.
