PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon and a balloon catheter with a novel structure capable of achieving both improvement on operability in delivering the balloon, and improvement on positioning property in a blood vessel in expanding the balloon.SOLUTION: In a balloon 10 used by being inserted into a blood vessel 48 that can expand and contract, the magnitude of friction resistance of an external surface 46 is made different in a lengthwise direction. The friction resistance of the external surface 46a of the tip part 40 in the lengthwise direction is smaller than the friction resistance of the external surface 46b in a center part 38. A balloon catheter 12 includes a shaft 16 provided with a lumen 34 for supply and discharge for supplying and discharging fluid for the balloon 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT【課題】バルーンのデリバリに際しての操作性の向上とバルーンの拡張時の血管内での位置決め性の向上とが両立して実現可能とされる、新規な構造のバルーンおよびバルーンカテーテルを提供する。【解決手段】血管48へ挿入されて使用される、拡張および収縮が可能なバルーン10であって、外表面46の摩擦抵抗の大きさが長さ方向で異ならされており、長さ方向の先端部分40の外表面46aが中央部分38の外表面46bに比して摩擦抵抗が小さくされている。また、バルーンカテーテル12であって、前記バルーン10に対して流体の供給と排出を行う給排用ルーメン34が設けられたシャフト16を備えている。【選択図】図2
