PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-held device and a vibration cancel method which improve a tremor inhibition device.SOLUTION: A hand-held device comprises: a base which includes a handle and catches a vibration operation; a grip element combined with the base to detachably connect the hand-held device with an object; at least one inertial sensor which detects the acceleration of the vibration operation and generates an acceleration signal; a processing unit which determines that a cancel determination is to be generated in accordance with the acceleration signal; and an actuator which controls the operation of the grip element in accordance with the cancel determination and weakens the acceleration. The hand-held device 10 does not apply a comparatively large force to user's affected limbs, which prevents a user from feeling a discomfort, a pain, or other troubles. The hand-held device 10 detects the acceleration of a vibration operation VR and weakens the acceleration in response to it, so that a tremor does not trouble the user.
