PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel regeneration method and apparatus for an ion exchange resin.SOLUTION: The ion exchange resin regeneration method is an ion exchange resin regeneration method in which, as a result of contact with a treatment liquid 22 comprising an object substance to be removed which is an organic compound having a polarity, an ion exchange resin 80 to which the object substance to be removed is adhering is regenerated. The method includes a regeneration step for desorbing the object substance to be removed adhering to the ion exchange resin 80 by bringing an organic solvent 32 into contact with the ion exchange resin 80； and the ion exchange resin regeneration apparatus includes regeneration means capable of implementing said regeneration step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
