The present invention relates to a combination formulation for the treatment of liver disease or for enhancing the therapeutic effect, and more particularly, to a combination formulation prepared by including colchicine and metformin as main active ingredients. The composition according to the present invention can treat or prevent liver fibrosis, liver cirrhosis, liver cancer or hepatitis by reducing the amount of fat accumulated in liver tissue by synergistic effect of colchicine and metformin, and reducing glucose resistance and insulin resistance.
