An intramedullary nail according to the invention comprises a locking hole arrangement (30) having one first opening (31) on one side of the intramedullary nail and one second opening (32) at an opposing side of the intramedullary nail, wherein the locking hole arrangement comprises a first bore (40) having a first bore axis (45) and a second bore (50) having a second bore axis (55), wherein the first bore and the second bore each having a first orifice (41, 51) on one side of the intramedullary nail and each having a second orifice (42, 52) at an opposite side of the intramedullary nail. The first bore axis and the second bore axis are inclined with respect to each other and the first bore and the second bore intersect each other within the intramedullary nail.
