The present invention relates to a system and a method to discriminate a reaction position for a positron emission tomography apparatus. Specifically, the system includes: a PET detector which generates multiple analog output signals by detecting radiation emitted from radioactive pharmaceuticals injected into a body； multiple analog signal processing units which generate a trigger signal by receiving the multiple analog output signals of each channel from the PET detector and comparing the output signals with a signal of a preset threshold voltage； and a digital signal processing unit which acquires position information, energy information, and time information indicating detailed information of a radiation detection position by receiving an input of the trigger signal and responding to the reception. By the composition described above, the system and the method to discriminate a reaction position for a positron emission tomography apparatus are able to clearly discriminate pixels in the outer part of the effective field of view of an image by preventing an increase of thermal noise of a connected resistance even though the number of optical sensor channels increases.본 발명은 양전자방출단층촬영장치용 반응 위치 판별 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로는 생체 내부에 주입된 방사성의약품으로부터 방출된 방사선을 검출하여 복수 개의 아날로그 형태의 출력신호를 생성하는 PET 검출기； 상기 PET 검출기로부터 각 채널별 복수 개의 아날로그 형태의 출력신호를 입력받아, 기설정된 문턱전압에 따른 신호와 비교하여 트리거신호를 생성하는 복수 개의 아날로그 신호처리부； 및 상기 트리거신호를 입력받아, 이에 응답하여 방사선 검출 위치에 대한 세부 정보를 나타내는 위치정보, 에너지정보 및 시간정보를 획득하는 디지털 신호처리부；를 포함한다. 이러한 구성에 의해, 본 발명의 양전자방출단층촬영장치용 반응 위치 판별 시스템 및 방법은 광센서 채널의 수가 증가하더라도 연결된 저항의 열잡음이 증가하는 것을 방지하여, 영상 유효시야 외곽 부분에서 픽셀 간 구분을 명확하게 할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
