A support for a known trap 1 for animals comprises a floor plane or base 11, parallel side screen walls 10 and an inclined rear wall 12. The rear wall 12 includes a trap mounting peg 14 and two apertures 15, 16 which incorporate a torsion spring clip 17 that secures the trap 1 in position. Two slots (21, Figure 3) of which the tops are substantially in alignment with the bottom of notch 13 and the bottoms are substantially in line with the bottom of aperture 15, are provided in the rear wall 12 to accommodate the angular side jaws of the trap 1. Animals are attracted to the trap 1 using bait presented on a U-shaped attachment 3 which clips onto the trip plate 2 of the known trap 1.
