Disclosed is a method to measure a patients blood pressure by a blood pressure measurement system utilizing a finger cuff, in which the finger cuff includes a light emitting diode (LED) - photodiode (PD) pair and a bladder. The method comprises: placing the finger cuff around the patients finger such that the bladder and the LED-PD pair aid in measuring the patients blood pressure by the blood pressure measurement system and applying heat generated by a heating element to the finger of the patient to increase the temperature of the finger, wherein the heating element generates heat at a predetermined temperature. Also, in some embodiments, the heating element also includes warming the hand and the wrist.Linvention concerne un procédé de mesure de la pression sanguine dun patient par un système de mesure de pression sanguine utilisant un manchon digital, le manchon digital comprenant une paire diode électroluminescente (LED) - photodiode (PD) et une poche. Le procédé consiste : à placer le manchon digital autour du doigt du patient de telle sorte que la poche et le couple DEL-PD aident à mesurer la pression sanguine du patient par le système de mesure de pression sanguine et à appliquer de la chaleur générée par un élément chauffant au doigt du patient pour augmenter la température du doigt, lélément chauffant générant de la chaleur à une température prédéterminée. En outre, dans certains modes de réalisation, lélément chauffant comprend également le chauffage de la main et du poignet.
