PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve selection performance by providing a step with a prescribed fall in a selection passage of a chaff sieve.SOLUTION: The threshing apparatus comprises a transport shelf (30), a first chaff sieve (31) installed in such a manner as to follow the terminal end of the transport shelf, a first straw rack (32) continuing into the terminal end of the first chaff sieve, a second chaff sieve (33) for carrying out selection treatment below the first straw rack while receiving a treated product screened out therefrom to send the product backward, a third chaff sieve (34) continuing into the terminal end of the second chaff sieve, and a second straw rack (35) continuing into the terminal end of the third chaff sieve.
