Drying device (1) for drying objects, in particular bales (10) of harvested material e.g. hay, straw and alfalfa, comprising one or more hollow displacement members (2) mounted on a base plate (3), said device being connectable to a blower communicating with and forcing air into the displacement members (2), from where the air is discharged through openings (4) into a bale (10), wherein each displacement member (2) is designed as a cage structure consisting of bars or ribs (11, 12) extending between an air-blocking foot plate (9) at the base plate (3) and a pointed end (14) of said member (2).
