A pulse wave analyzing apparatus (100) acquires a moving image (101) obtained by photographing a subject. The pulse wave analyzing apparatus (100) extracts images of each part of a plurality of parts of the subject from each of the photographed images included in the acquired moving image (101). The pulse wave analyzing apparatus (100) generates pulse wave waveforms of each of the parts by analyzing the images of each of the parts extracted from each of the photographed images. The pulse wave analyzing apparatus (100) calculates a matching degree between the generated pulse wave waveforms of each of the parts. The pulse wave analyzing apparatus (100) outputs the calculated matching degree as an index value indicating likelihood of pulse wave in the pulse wave waveform of the subject.
