The present invention relates to a composition for suppressing the growth of human head and neck cancer cells that contains micro RNA or an expression system capable of expressing micro RNA in cells, wherein the micro RNA is selected from the group consisting of hsa-miR-1289, hsa-miR-892b, hsa-miR-661, hsa-miR-193b*, hsa-miR-671-5p, hsa-miR-124*, hsa-miR-1908, hsa-miR-876-5p, hsa-miR-192*, hsa-miR-124, hsa-miR-760, hsa-miR-192, hsa-miR-206, hsa-miR-629, hsa-miR-1, hsa-miR-708*, and hsa-miR-629*.
