The present invention relates to a connecting block for greening a vertical wall and an apparatus of greening a vertical wall using the same. According to the present invention, connecting blocks (30, 30&prime) include a passing space (32) and a water storage space (33) inside a block body (31). The passing space (32) is filled with vegetation soil, whereby water transferred from a vegetation port (20) in an upper part and stretched roots are passing therethrough. In the water storage space (33), water is collected. If the vegetation soil in an upper part is dried, through water transferring slices (42) installed inside a connection pipe (40), water is transferred to the vegetation soil of the vegetation port (20) by a capillary phenomenon. In a passing plate (32&prime) forming the bottom of the passing space (32), a mesh through-hole (32&Prime) is formed therein, whereby water and roots can pass therethrough. In a bottom plate (24) of the vegetation port (20), a mesh through-hole (24&prime) is formed therein, whereby water and roots can pass therethrough and reach the connecting blocks (30, 30&prime) located in a lower part.
