The present invention is characterized by a process for providing a safe and stable treha-mannoglucan (TMG). The polymer is prepared by fermentation and culturing of mushroom mycelium to polymerize trehalose and mannose. After extraction and purification, the TMG for promoting immunity can be obtained, and comprises beta-glucan and active peptide applicable to activate eye phagocytes, remove eye cell residues and the protein precipitate caused by the excessive autoimmunity, and promote cell regeneration. In addition, by the anti-oxidation property, the present invention can reduce eye cell ageing.
