PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter that can increase the operability thereof in a blood vessel during manipulation.SOLUTION: A catheter 1 includes a guide wire sheath 10 serving as a hollow body for passing a guide wire 20 serving as a guiding linear member through a tip part 6 of a catheter sheath 2. In the tip part 6 of the catheter sheath 2, MR fluid 50 is disposed to increase rigidity of the tip part 6.
