The present invention relates to a distress call module and a method thereof. In addition, when an alert is not released within a preset time from a point of time of alert generation, the present invention is able to automatically transmit a distress call signal and notify a distress situation and position of a user even when the user cannot make a distress call in person.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017조난 알림 모듈 및 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 조난 알림 모듈 및 방법은 가방에 장착되는 조난 알림 모듈로서, 상기 조난 알림 모듈에 가해지는 충격 정도를 측정하는 충격 센서 상기 조난 알림 모듈의 회전 시 발생하는 각가속도를 측정하는 각가속도 센서 경보 제어 신호에 따라 경보를 발생시키는 경보부 및 상기 측정된 충격 정도가 기 설정된 값 이상이고 상기 측정된 각가속도가 기 설정된 값 이상인 경우, 상기 경보 제어 신호를 상기 경보부로 발생시키는 제어부를 포함한다. 본 발명의 실시예들에 따르면, 조난 알림 모듈에 가해지는 충격을 통해 조난 상황 여부를 1차적으로 확인하고, 조난 알림 모듈의 회전 시 발생되는 각가속도를 기반으로 조난 상황 여부를 2차적으로 확인함으로써, 실제 조난 상황을 보다 정확하게 판단하여 경보를 발생시킬 수 있다. 또한, 경보 발생 시점으로부터 기 설정된 시간 이내에 경보 해제가 되지 않는 경우, 조난 알림 신호를 자동 전송함으로써, 사용자가 직접 구조 요청을 할 수 없는 경우에도 사용자의 조난 상황 및 위치 등을 외부에 알릴 수 있게 된다.
