PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair transplantation needle member in which a plurality of needle pieces formed on the distal end can be smoothly opened and closed.SOLUTION: A hair transplantation needle member 10 includes: a cylindrical body 11 which is formed in cylindrically hollow and supports a shaft 13 on the inside so as to be movable in an axial direction a needle unit 12 that is a hollow needle-like portion extending so that the dimension in the diameter direction becomes gradually smaller from the distal end of the cylindrical body 11 toward the further distal end and which is divided into a plurality of needle pieces 122 by a slit 121 extending in the axial direction from the distal end side toward a base end side. The needle member 10 is configured so that the shaft 13 moves toward the distal end side through the cylindrical body 11 and abuts on the inner surface of each of the needle pieces 122, and the shaft 13 moves toward the distal end side while sliding on the inner surface of each of the needle pieces 122, so that the needle pieces 122 can be bent in the outside of the diameter direction.
