PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing snack food having smoke flavor without the need of large scale equipment and without losing original flavor of potato.SOLUTION: This method for producing the snack food includes preparing snack dough by mixing a snack raw material having a potato raw material as the main raw material, and molding the snack dough thus obtained in a proper form followed by frying in oil. A smoke-treated dried potato raw material is used for &ge50% of the potato raw material.
