A catheter comprising: an elongated body; a distal electrode device comprising an electrode with a casing in which an inner chamber is formed, the casing having a wall defining a proximal and distal part, the wall of the distal part having at least one opening; a microelement, passing through the inner chamber between the proximal and distal parts; moreover, the trace element has a distal end, which is included in the specified at least one hole, while the distal end has at least the same extent with the outer surface of the wall; the control handle, while the trace element includes a tube with a lumen and at least one wire passing through the lumen. 2. The catheter according to claim 1, wherein the chamber is for receiving fluid and has a plurality of irrigation openings through which fluid from the chamber can flow out. The catheter according to claim 2, in which the distal end of the trace element includes an open part outside the casing wall. The catheter according to claim 1, in which the microelement includes a microelectrode element at its distal end, and said at least one wire is connected to the microelectrode element. The catheter according to claim 1, in which the microelement has at least two wires for measuring temperature. The catheter according to claim 1, further comprising a plurality of trace elements, each of which has a distal end, while the distal ends of the trace elements are oriented radially in the distal part of the electrode relative to the longitudinal axis of the electrode.
