Environmentally hazardous acid-resins are rendered harmless by dehydration and neutralization as follows: 50-70 pts.wt. slag, preferably dross derived from steel production by converters or foundries are mixed with 50-30 pts.wt. neutralized acid resins, and optionally 0.5-15 pts.wt. sawdust and/or wood-shavings and/or chopped straw. Mixtures are homogenized and comminuted.
